On Saturday October 20th, Carranza had the honour of attending the Luso Canadian Charitable Society’ 12th annual gala dinner. The LCCS is a non-profit charitable organization, which provides support services to adults with developmental and physical disabilities and also helps stimulate social activity for the less able through its centre.
The centre offers a variety of programs for people with disabilities and support to their families, which help clients continue to learn social skills through group participation, assist in building greater independence and self-esteem, facilitate integration within the community, and help to develop strong leadership skills, which will empower clients to be active and productive members of society.
The evening was an overall success and it was a pleasure to contribute to the efforts of the LCCS. Congratulations to the Luso Charitable Canadian Society for its continuing initiatives and community work and a special thank you also goes out to CIRV Radio FM 88.9 for its cordial invitation to attend such an inspiring event and cause.
